​Install on the inner "rib" of the wall corrugations, looking on the outside of the container.


The INNER RIB MOUNT style is recommended for containers used for jobsite storage or other uses that may subject the louvers to damage. It installs on an inner rib of the wall corrugations so the louvers will be more protected from damage by the outer ribs on each side of it. However, it is a little bit harder to install for the following reasons:


  • The inner ribs of the corrugated walls are typically a lot more dented than the outer ribs since the interior has been subjected to repeated loading and unloading of cargo in the container's past life. 
  • Cutting the hole for vents on a dented rib gets a little tricky because the metal in the dent wants to return to it’s original shape so cutting needs to be done more carefully.
  • Since you will be cutting the hole from the inside of the container, you will need a light source to safely see what you are doing. And the noise from cutting the hole will echo within the container, which really isn’t an issue since you’re supposed to be wearing hearing protection anyway.
